Acts booked so far include: - On Friday, September 11, Wings Over the Big South Fork will host a “Sneak Preview” of its 2009 Flight Line, which is open to the public and a FREE CONCERT featuring the music of rising Bluegrass star Sierra Hull (www.SierraHull.com). Gates will open for Food and Beverage sales at 5:00 PM with the concert at 7:00 PM. “Sierra is a remarkably talented, beautiful human being. Success could not come to a more worthy person. I adore her.”—Alison Kraus.
- Michael Mancuso (http://www.mmairshows.com/Flights-in-the-Extra.html) and CC Gerner (Presented by Big South Fork Airpark) (http://www.ccairshows.com/index.php ) back by popular demand in their Extra 300 Aerobatic Airplanes. This year they’ll be doing their solo acts IN ADDITION TO a brand new Formation Act. This is the first season for these great performers to work together and it all started with a conversation right here at Wings 2008! Come see what they’ve put together.
- The Ever Popular Michael Kennedy (http://valiantechoes.com/ ) will perform beautiful and nostalgic aerobatics in his WWII era BT-13.
- New this year—Mr. Bryan Jensen will perform a high energy act in his Pitts Model 12 Aerobatic Bi-Plane. We haven’t had a Pitts 12 here since Wings ’06 and we believe that one was the first such plane to ever perform in Tennessee. Bryan’s is even more powerful and will thrill the audience with his fast paced performance.
- Bill Leff - (Presented by Big South Fork Airpark) (http://www.billleffairshows.com/ ) and his AT-6 "Texan" - Bill Leff has had a passion for aviation ever since he was old enough to talk. Perhaps that passion was born in him or maybe it came from the energy emanating from his hometown, the birthplace of aviation, Dayton, Ohio.
